About Orion Willis

Orion Willis is a financial planner and fiduciary and the founder of Prime Wealth Advisors, a firm that offers holistic financial planning services. He brings over 28 years of experience, working closely with clients to create custom solutions in wealth management, retirement planning, taxes, and estate planning to ensure peace of mind. 

Early Life and Education

Orion Kelly Willis was born in Lake Side, Arizona, and pursued a degree in finance at Arizona State University. While at ASU, Orion participated in an internship program at MetLife. At MetLife, Orion noticed a gap in the financial services industry. Many people had financial planners but weren’t receiving the care and attention they needed. They were getting fragmented advice from various professionals, each looking at only one aspect of their finances. 

Orion saw an opportunity to do something different. He envisioned a firm that offered more than just financial planning; it would provide an integrated approach to securing people’s futures, bringing together wealth management, legal advice, tax planning, and estate planning all under one roof. He wanted to create a space where clients didn’t just receive advice but a well-rounded strategy that covered every corner of their financial life.

The Vision Behind Prime Wealth Advisors

After completing his studies, Orion set out to bring his vision to life. In 2002, he founded Prime Wealth Advisors, a firm that provides clients with personalized financial planning services. Orion’s firm was meant to be different from traditional financial advisory firms that only focused on a single aspect of clients’ financial lives. Instead, Prime Wealth Advisors would offer a full range of services, including wealth management, estate planning, tax strategies, insurance planning, and more, to allow clients to address all their financial needs in one place.

By focusing on holistic financial planning, Orion set Prime Wealth Advisors apart from other firms that offered limited services. He believed that economic success wasn’t just about how much money someone had but how well they managed their resources across all aspects of their lives. Whether creating a tax-efficient retirement strategy, minimizing risk through insurance, or setting up an estate plan to ensure their legacy, Orion’s goal was to provide clients with a tailored financial plan covering every angle.

Orion’s Approach to Financial Planning

At Prime Wealth Advisors, Orion and his team follow a comprehensive three-step Prime Position process to create customized financial plans. The first step, Prime Considerations, involves understanding each client’s goals, fears, and values to build a strong relationship and establish a clear direction. In the second step, Prime Solutions assesses five key areas of retirement planning: income, wealth management, tax strategies, health care, and estate planning, tailoring a strategy to meet each client’s unique needs. Finally, Prime Strategy implements and continually monitors the plan, ensuring it adapts to the client’s evolving goals and circumstances.

Orion’s financial planning is built around his promise to always act as a fiduciary, ensuring his client’s needs are the top priority. Being a fiduciary means that Orion is legally bound to put his client’s best interests ahead of his own. He helps clients with everything from retirement planning to tax-efficient investment strategies and estate planning, always recommending the solution that best fits their needs, not his own.

Community Involvement

One way Orion Willis has made a significant impact in his community is through his role as a title sponsor for the Sun City West Pickleball Club. He has supported the club for three years, donating over $28,000 to the organization and its charitable endeavors. The club has become a significant part of the local community, and Orion’s sponsorship has helped it thrive while supporting various charities.

Orion has also been involved in other community organizations, including the Sun City West Property Owners’ Association (PORA), which works to improve the quality of life for area residents.

Family Life and Hobbies

Despite his professional accomplishments, Orion remains down-to-earth and family-focused. He is married and has two children, and he takes great pride in being a father and a husband. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, exploring new hobbies, and continuing his language education.

Orion enjoys the challenge of learning new languages, including Japanese, Mandarin, and Tagalog. His love for languages speaks to his curiosity and desire to connect with people from all walks of life.

His involvement in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is another key part of his personal life. Orion is an active member of his church community, where he finds a sense of fulfillment and purpose beyond his career. His faith and values guide his approach to his professional and personal life, and they are a big part of why he is so committed to helping others.
